Amir obtained his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law. Amir's publications include Beyond the Executive Agreement ... , appearing in Pepperdine Law Review.

Amir is admitted to practice in California and the United States Central District Court of California. Amir is also a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the California Employment Lawyers Association.
